Overview
The FreeStyle Libre 2 System is a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system that provides automatic interstitial glucose readings for clinical and personal management. The system includes the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor (15-day), FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor, the Libre 2 and Libre mobile apps, and an optional Libre 2 reader. The FreeStyle Libre 2 System is cleared for use in children and adults (Libre 2 sensor: from 4 years; Libre 2 Plus sensor: from 2 years).

How it works / App

Usage notes & safety

• Sensor wear: FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is intended for up to 15 days of wear and is water resistant up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes; do not immerse longer than 30 minutes.
• Fingerstick testing: May be required if alarms or sensor readings do not match clinical symptoms, or when the Check Blood Glucose symbol appears during the first 12 hours of sensor use.
• Alarm reception: Notifications are received only when alarms are enabled and the sensor is within the specified wireless range of the reading device.
• Prescription: The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is a prescription device; follow local prescribing and use regulations.
