Overview
AMTI’s tandem treadmill is a force plate–instrumented treadmill with an innovative front-to-back split belt design that preserves a continuous walking surface while delivering bilateral force measurements for walking and running. Precision motor control and included software allow controlled belt speed, direction and inclination up to 25% grade and speeds up to 20 km/h. The unit ships fully assembled and integrates two six-axis force plates for synchronized bilateral data collection.

Usage and Benefits
The treadmill supports gait and running studies under level, uphill and downhill conditions. Its reinforced frame and integrated six-axis plates provide high-fidelity force data suitable for long-duration fatigue or steady-state experiments, as well as rapid multiple-footfall collection for efficient protocol execution in clinical and research facilities.

Installation Options

• Above Ground: Sits on top of the floor; ships with stairs for access; optional caster wheels enable moving the unit in/out of capture volume if required.
• In-Floor (Pit): Installs within a recessed concrete pit or raised access floor; belt surfaces flush with surrounding floor; ships with mounting rails for anchoring.
