Bosphore Respiratory Viral Basic Panel Kit detects and characterizes adenovirus, enterovirus, Legionella pneumophila, metapneumovirus, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, rhinovirus, and parainfluenza viruses (1, 2, 3, 4) in human respiratory samples including nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal swabs and saliva. Fluorescence detection is accomplished using the FAM, HEX, Texas Red and Cy5 filters. An internal control based on the detection of human endogenous nucleic acid sequence (RNase P) present in human genome has been employed in order to check RNA extraction, PCR inhibition and sampling or application errors.
