Prevention of bacterial nosocomial infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Legionella pneumophila, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia or Staphylococcus aureus in immunocompromised and immunosuppressed patients.
The effect is achieved by interrupting the transmission path of these germs through filtration of the water and protection against retrograde contamination when using the water taps through hygienic design and antimicrobial protection functions
Safe water hygiene
Adjustable flow rate
Reusable product with reprocessing and delivery service
Highly effective bactericidal coating of the outlet area and antimicrobial additives in the plastic housing
As CE-marked medical device available
Germlyser® AM terminal hollow fibre membrane filter is especially developed for the care of intensive care patients, changed after a single use with each patient. The 0.2 μm hollow fibre membrane retains the critical germs Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Legionella pneumophila, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Staphylococcus aureus. The chemical composition of the water is not altered.
The housing of the Germlyser® AM is made of a plastic that contains an antimicrobial additive. This prevents the growth of germs that can get onto the filter from outside, e.g. through splash water, aerosols from the siphon or by touch. The additive used in the plastic is approved for food and medical products. In addition, the water outlet of the Germlyser® AM is silver-plated. Due to the strong bactericidal effect of the silver coating, this offers increased protection against germ colonisation at the point of withdrawal.
