The Germlyser® W is a CE-marked, point-of-use shower filter. It can be used as an accessory of birthing tubs that are approved as medical devices.
This reusable water filter is equipped with a 0.2 μm hollow fibre membrane, which has a retention of at least 7 log units1 and thus provides reliable protection of patients against infections caused by all critical water-associated germs such as legionella, pseudomonads, staphylococci or stenotrophomonas over a service life of up to 8 weeks, depending on the water quality.
The chemical composition of the water is not altered. The hygienic design and the use of bacteriostatic material in the housing prevent retrograde contamination incurred by splash water or physical contact.
