Overview
Manual slide preparation introduces variability and risk of error that can slow lab throughput and affect diagnostic consistency. The DxH Slidemaker Stainer II (SMS II) automates slide preparation and staining according to orders from your LIS, letting you define smear criteria and staining protocols to deliver first-pass, review-ready slides for hematology workflows. Integration with digital morphology systems and hematology analyzers supports faster decision-making and more consistent cell classification.

Greater workflow efficiency

• Prepare and stain smears from capped whole blood tubes, open-top tubes or pediatric whole blood tubes
• Produce up to four slides from a single 90 μl aspiration and up to 12 slides from a single sample presentation
• Connect with up to three DxH 900 hematology analyzers to form a linked hematology workcell
• Automatically generate multiple stained smears based on result flags or parameter triggers (e.g., low WBC, Blast suspect)

RAL Stains
RAL Stains provide a fast, standardized staining workflow designed for safe laboratory use. RAL Stains are CE marked and available in Romanowsky and methanol-free MCDh formulations for the DxH SMS II. They support review on Cellavision and Scopio Lab digital morphology systems as well as conventional microscopes.
