Injectable hydroxyapatite bone substitute n-IBS® is a ready-to-use, injectable synthetic bone substitute based on hydroxyapatite (HA) designed for filling non-load-bearing bone defects in orthopedic, trauma and dental/maxillofacial surgery. Its paste formulation allows direct application from the pre-filled syringe, adapting easily to irregular bone cavities. The controlled microporosity of the hydroxyapatite particles supports cell adhesion and osteoconduction, promoting natural bone regeneration. The material is biocompatible, osteoconductive, radiopaque, and non-resorbable in the short term, providing a stable scaffold for bone ingrowth while maintaining the defect volume.
