PresentationThe IX-118 is a high-speed, high-resolution data acquisition system designed for laboratory recordings such as organ bath, ECG, pressure and general physiological measurements. It provides 8 analog input channels, 8 digital outputs, 4 digital inputs and 2 independently programmable DACs. The device connects to PC-compatible computers via native USB for plug-and-play operation and uses standard BNC connectors to simplify integration with laboratory instruments.
System RequirementsThe IX-118 is used with the LabScribe software. Minimum recommended configuration: Pentium III (or equivalent), Windows 98 or later, 128 MB RAM, and 100 MB free disk space. An Internet connection may be required for software updates.
Analog OutputsThe unit features 2 independently programmable analog outputs (DACs) with a +/-10 V range. Outputs can be synchronized and stimulus parameters (pulse width, frequency, amplitude) are adjustable in the LabScribe toolbar. Standard protocols include pulse, train and step waveforms; a configurable holding voltage enables use in voltage-clamp applications.
Resolution and NoiseThe IX-118 uses a 16-bit ADC over a 10 V input range. Typical input noise is < 1 mV, allowing direct recording of signals from approximately 10 mV to 10 V without an external amplifier in many applications.
