PresentationThe IX-214 is a physiology data acquisition unit housed in an extruded aluminum enclosure and configured for classroom and teaching-lab use. Controls are limited to essential student-accessible functions. With a single mouse click the unit can be set to record EEG, EMG (EOG) or ECG.
Acquisition channels and stimulationThe IX-214 includes a dual-channel biopotential amplifier suitable for human and rodent subjects plus two general-purpose input channels that accept pressure, temperature, force sensors and voltage outputs from laboratory instruments. A built-in stimulator supports human and animal labs; an optional high-voltage stimulus isolator expands stimulation capabilities.
Physiology Teaching KitsBIOSEB provides combined Animal/Human Physiology Teaching Kits optimized for the IX-214. Kits include transducers and documentation to support a comprehensive lab course (standard packages cover up to 33 experiments and 123 exercises; with the high-voltage isolator kits support up to 34 experiments and 127 exercises). Systems can be configured by selecting sensors and software options.
System requirementsMinimum PC: Pentium II class (or equivalent) running Windows, >=64 MB RAM, >=10 MB free disk space. Internet connection required for free firmware and software upgrades.
