Overview Experience laboratory workflows optimized for small to medium clinical laboratories. respons®420c is a fully automated random‑access clinical chemistry analyzer providing a constant throughput up to 420 tests/hour (620 tests/hour including optional ISE). It combines high sample and reagent capacity with automated routines to reduce hands‑on time.

Reaction system Maintenance‑free grating photometer with 12 wavelengths for accurate photometric measurements. Photometric linearity up to 3.5 OD reduces repeat measurements. Contact heating provides thermostatization of cuvettes and the reaction unit features 93 cuvettes with 8‑step automatic washing. Twin‑test functionality supports the DiaSys HbA1c net FS assay.

Reagent rotor Onboard capacity for up to 40 DiaSys respons® reagent containers in a refrigerated rotor (2–8°C). Dedicated respons® bottles enable one‑grip loading including two‑component reagents. Additionally, 40 flexible positions accommodate samples, calibrators and controls.

Sample rotor Total 102 positions: 68 outer positions with automatic barcode reading and 34 inner positions allocated to calibrators (10), controls (9), STAT samples (11) and cleaners (4). Accepts major primary tubes and sample cups. Features STAT prioritization, automatic dilution and automatic measuring‑window adaptation on substrate depletion to minimize manual interventions and reruns.

Advanced HbA1c testing Fully automated onboard hemolysis of whole blood removes manual pre‑processing steps. HbA1c smart sampling aspirates erythrocytes from the bottom of the tube to handle samples with higher sedimentation. Deep probe washing after processing minimizes carryover.
