OverviewThe Peristaltic Pump Module (PPM) type 54-3-0 automates controlled fluid transfers in radiochemical and radiopharmaceutical laboratories, reducing operator exposure and improving reproducibility. It supports process development, optimization and transfer to routine production via KitLab.
FunctionalityThe PPM 54-3-0 integrates a four-channel peristaltic pump with independent, bidirectional flow on each channel. Operation is managed via Modular-Lab software, which allows operator-programmed sequences. Tubing cassettes are secured to the pump head with purpose-built clasps and can be customized. Basic cassette manifolds are designed for fail-free mounting and accept standard components such as filters and valves. All process data are recorded in a comprehensive batch report.
Possible applicationsThe module is suitable for fluid transfer tasks including radiotracer synthesis, dispensing, dilution and kit-type labeling, as well as general laboratory fluid handling during R&D and process optimization.
Automation of manual kit formulation processesPPM 54-3-0 enables in-house automation of kit formulation, reducing manual handling errors and operator radiation exposure. Eckert & Ziegler provides services to transfer validated processes to a stand-alone KitLab system and to produce pre-designed tubing cassettes under GMP clean-room conditions for high-volume supply. The KitLab process can be adopted by end users for standardized routine production.
Tubing cassettesEckert & Ziegler supplies basic tubing cassettes (sterile or non-sterile) made from platinum-cured silicone with an inner diameter of 1 mm. Custom materials, dimensions and accessories are available on request.
