Description
The Osteoprost™ ACIF (anterior cervical interbody fusion) cage system is made from Invibio PEEK-OPTIMA polymer, and is designed to restore vertebral disc space at a normal anatomical height. Anterior cervical discectomy procedures remove pressure on the nerves that are often caused by neck injury and/or disc failure. The Osteoprost ACIF are clinically proven to provide optimum structural stability after the removal of an inter-vertebral disc and creates bony in-growth opportunity, which is important for the fusion process.
Minimal invasive surgery is required to insert the ACIF cages and they are used in conjunction with a suitable cervical plate, such as the Ring-Loc and Roto-Loc.
