With new automation solutions, for example in electronics production or medical technology, there is a high demand for miniature linear guidance systems. Our new range of double-row miniature linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies now comprises four sizes from 07 to 15 in several designs. The miniature guideways are characterised by the innovative ball retention system, which also fulfils the function of a longitudinal gap seal. Miniature linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies are made of low-corrosion steel. Product Features of Miniature Guidance Systems The miniature recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies in sizes 05 to 15 are fully ball-based, linear fixed bearings of different preload classes for unlimited stroke lengths. They are double-row units consisting of a guideway and a carriage. In the double-row units, two rows of rolling elements are in four-point contact with the raceways and are preloaded. Thanks to their modular design, guideways and carriages within each interchangeability and accuracy class can be interchanged. This simplifies the assembly, makes it easier to procure spare parts, and enables very economical inventory management. The carriages and guideways from Schaeffler are corrosion-resistant. Seals on the end faces of the carriages protect the rolling system from contamination. The carriages are grease-lubricated and relubricable. The guideways and carriages are also available in wide versions.
