Description

Product overview
Lumix® Surgery Dual is a portable multidiode laser system for combined surgical and therapeutic applications. It is supplied with dedicated surgical and therapeutic handpieces, interchangeable terminals and optical fibres to adapt delivery mode to clinical needs and optimize outcomes.

Key functionalities
  • Surgical mode: contact fibre delivery; continuous and burst modes with adjustable actuation time; vaporization/photoablation in place of blade incisions with haemostasis.
  • Therapeutic mode: continuous, pulsed, superpulsed and C.P.S.® emission to produce photomechanical, biostimulating, regenerative and thermal effects.

Power and emission highlights
  • Peak power up to 400 W from a single diode source.
  • Average power range: 9 W to 31 W.
  • Multi-wavelength configuration: up to 5 selectable wavelengths for variable tissue penetration.
  • Superpulsation up to 100,000 Hz (real superpulsation; ranges >30 kHz to trigger photomechanical effects).
  • Nanopulse capability: pulses ~70 ns.

Main advantages compared to traditional surgical methods
  • Minimally invasive cutting and vaporization with haemostasis, reducing or eliminating the need for sutures.
  • Reduced intraoperative bleeding and lower infection risk due to antibacterial laser effect.
  • Shorter healing times and improved patient comfort with reduced anaesthetic requirements.

Distinctive surgical features
  • High precision for microsurgery and soft tissue procedures.
  • Controlled coagulation to limit postoperative pain and edema.
  • Minimal tissue traction during healing and improved postoperative aesthetic result.

Therapeutic mode advantages
  • Photomechanical, photobiostimulant, cicatrizing, anti-edema, anti-inflammatory and immediate analgesic effects.
  • Multi-wavelength approach enables deeper and volumetric tissue involvement.
  • Synchronization and overlapping of diodes for homogeneous irradiation on a single spot.

Applications / Indications
Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery
  • Removal and treatment of skin neoformations, fibromas, nevi, keratoses, papillomas, warts, xanthelasma, cysts, lipomas, soft blepharoplasty, periocular and perilabial rejuvenation and scar management.

Dental Surgery & Therapy
  • Oral surgery, periodontology, endodontics, oral pathology, implantology, whitening, and postoperative oral therapy including TMJ disease management.

Soft Tissue Surgery
  • Precise excision and coagulation for a wide range of soft tissue surgical procedures.

Aesthetic Medicine & Dermatology (therapeutic protocols)
  • Anti-age treatments, wrinkle reduction, photorejuvenation, acne and scar therapy, dermatitis, angiomas, ulcers, skin toning, combination with PRP, onychomycosis, PDT and ingrown nail therapy.

Rehabilitation & Podiatry
  • Pain management, bone and tissue biostimulation, post-traumatic therapy, anti-inflammatory and anti-edema localized treatments, onychomycosis and wart therapy.

Interface and workflow
The system integrates the Wizard guide: an intuitive step-by-step digital assistant providing preset protocols, rapid search, editable protocols and custom program creation. The 7-inch colour touchscreen displays parameters and supports operator control. Software and protocols are upgradable via USB.

Accessories and ergonomics
  • Surgical fibre-optic handpiece and therapeutic handpiece with interchangeable terminals.
  • Interchangeable surgical fibres: 200 µm, 320 µm, 400 µm and 600 µm with SMA connector.
  • Optional trolley and articulated arm for automated handling; integrated tutorial videos and multimedia content match preset protocols for operator training.
