Overview
The EcoPak Series is a modular range of medical heat sealers for sterile barrier packaging. It offers seven configurable models from economical basic units to fully validatable devices. EcoPak 06 and EcoPak 07 include a touchscreen for simplified operation and extended interfaces.

Features

• Housing options Choose standard white housing or optional Stainless Steel (S) for enhanced hygienic cleaning.
• Stand-by / Automatic start Optional Automatic Start and Stand-by modes to reduce energy consumption. Combined power across versions: 67.5–90 W. Sealing speed: 10 m/min.
• Validatable process EcoPak 03, 05, 06 and 07 provide regulation and monitoring of process variables in accordance with ISO 11607-2 for a validatable sealing process.
• Computer interfaces Selectable RS232 on some models; EcoPak 06/07: 2 x RS232, 2 x USB A, 1 x Ethernet and Wi‑Fi for data transfer and system integration.
• Integrated printer Optional printer for direct printing of wrapper ID, expiry/sterilisation date and LOT on porous material outside the sealing seam.
• IntelligentScan Optional readiness for hm 980 barcode scanner and included software to apply preconfigured device settings via barcode.
• User interface EcoPak 01–05 use a clear LCD display; EcoPak 06 and 07 offer touchscreen operation for more straightforward device configuration.

Validation
The EcoPak Series supports validatable heat sealing processes for sterile barrier systems. Models marked with 'V' include functions to regulate and monitor parameters to ensure reproducible sealing and compliance with ISO 11607-2.

Definition / Qualification steps

• IQ – Installation Qualification: verification of device installation and compliance to specifications (e.g. ISO 11607-2).
• OQ – Operational Qualification: determination of optimal sealing temperature and parameters.
• PQ – Performance Qualification: verification of seal strength and integrity at production conditions (including post-sterilisation testing).
