Overview
RNAsure® is an RNase‑inhibiting reagent formulated to stabilize RNA in biological tissue samples immediately after collection. It rapidly penetrates tissue to preserve RNA integrity for downstream molecular analyses including RT‑PCR, RNA‑seq and gene expression studies.

Specifications
Intended use: stabilization of RNA in animal and plant tissue samples, cultured cells and bacteria. Downstream applications: standard RNA isolation, acid phenol extraction, oligo(dT) mRNA selection, RT‑PCR, RNA sequencing, gene expression analysis and array hybridisation. Recommended extraction kits: InviTrap® Spin Universal RNA Mini Kit (animal tissue) and InviTrap® Spin Plant RNA Mini Kit (plant tissue). Starting material: store samples in 5–10× reagent volume; cut tissues to ≤ 0.5 cm diameter.

Storage and stability
Samples collected in RNAsure® can be stored or transported without compromising RNA quality under the following conditions:

• 37°C: up to 1 day
• 25°C: up to 1 week
• 4°C: up to 1 month
• -20°C to -80°C: long‑term storage

FAQs / Notes
RNA extraction from RNAsure®-stabilized samples is compatible with standard protocols and commercial kits. Before lysis, remove excess RNAsure® by tapping the sample on filter paper and proceed with homogenization according to your extraction method. For rigid or hard-to-lyse tissues, Proteinase K pretreatment (1 mg/mL in TE, 10 min at 45°C) can improve yield. RNAsure® can be used as a transport medium but must be removed prior to RNA isolation; it should not be used directly as input for extraction kits.
