Description

The Welded Shielding Box (WSB) is an EMI/RFI shielding enclosure (Faraday Cage) used in MRI installations. It is realized with custom RF-shielding panels and offers the best RF shielding and noise suppression capabilities for the most challenging end user’s needs. The WSB panels are made of a double Aluminum-Amagnetic Stainless Steel layer, internally padded with polyurethane for basic noise suppression, welded together, thus creating a rigid, self-standing structure. The tailor-made type of assembly allows adapting the shielding to virtually any shape and size of room. The on-site cutting and assembly does not require any customization activity in the factory. This feature enables to use this enclosure also in operating rooms for Intraoperative MRI systems. Optional shielding layers can be added to the enclosure to provide ionizing radiation shielding, magnetic shielding and increased acoustic shielding. Interior finishing panels and accessories complete the functional features of the WSB with aesthetic and relaxing appearance for the comfort of patient and operator.
