Product overviewTemp-Bond™ is a family of temporary dental cements for provisional cementation and trial fitting of restorations. Available in zinc oxide/eugenol, non-eugenol (Temp-Bond NE) and resin-based translucent (Temp-Bond Clear with Triclosan) formulations. Temp-Bond cements provide provisional retention, sealing against seepage and controlled removability when required.
Key features- Multiple formulations: original zinc oxide/eugenol, Temp-Bond NE (non-eugenol), Temp-Bond Clear with Triclosan (resin-based, translucent).
- Delivery formats: automix syringe, tube and Unidose™ single-use capsules.
- Easy handling: flows and mixes to provide optimal consistency for full seating of temporaries.
- Mechanical performance: sufficient bond strength to reduce leakage and sensitivity while allowing easy removal.
- Compatibility: Temp-Bond NE formulated to avoid inhibition of polymerization of permanent resin cements and acrylic temporaries.
- Esthetics: Temp-Bond Clear offers high translucency and dual-cure capability for improved provisional esthetics.
Indications- Temporary cementation of crowns and bridges.
- Provisional restorations, inlays/onlays and splints.
- Trial cementation for assessment of fit, occlusion and esthetics before definitive cementation.
Formulations and delivery- Original Temp-Bond: zinc oxide/eugenol formula.
- Temp-Bond NE: zinc oxide non-eugenol formula for resin compatibility.
- Temp-Bond Clear with Triclosan: resin-based, highly translucent, dual-cure.
- Available in automix syringe, tube and Unidose™ for chairside flexibility.
Technical specifications- Cure mechanism (Clear): resin-based dual cure.
- Clinical performance: designed to withstand mastication, seal temporaries and permit controlled removal.
- Handling: optimized flow and working time for accurate seating and mechanical retention.
- Compatibility: Temp-Bond NE non-eugenol reduces risk of resin inhibition.
