The C403H is a combined OTR/WVTR analyzer for high-precision oxygen and water vapor transmission testing on films, sheets and related materials using a coulometric oxygen sensor and an infrared moisture sensor. It is designed to comply with ASTM and ISO barrier-testing standards and is suitable for food, pharmaceutical, medical device, daily-chemical, photovoltaic and electronics applications.
Product Features- Combined OTR/WVTR operation with selectable modes: combined OTR & WVTR, OTR only or WVTR only; automatic execution per mounted sample.
- Coulometric oxygen sensor providing ppb-level sensitivity and designed to meet ASTM D3985; absolute-reading sensor with extended service life and automatic over-limit protection.
- Patented infrared moisture sensor for low-limit WVTR detection, designed to meet ASTM F1249; non-consumable with long service life.
- 360° air-circulation constant-temperature technology plus high-precision temperature and humidity sensors for improved stability and repeatability.
- Three independent test cells (parallel detection) allow simultaneous testing of three samples under identical conditions with automatic sample clamping for consistent sealing.
- 12-inch Windows touch panel, automatic test modes and drawer-type test cells with one-key automatic in/out for ergonomic operation.
- Embedded industrial computer, optical/intelligent sensors and audible/visual alarms; major-brand components for operational reliability.
- Advanced functions including professional test modes, multi-curve display (OTR/WVTR, diffusion coefficient, temperature, humidity) and optional gas purification for oxygen-free carrier gas.
Testing PrincipleThe pre-conditioned sample is clamped between upper and lower chambers. Oxygen or humidified gas is applied to one side while high-purity nitrogen flows on the other. Molecules diffusing through the material are carried by the nitrogen to the appropriate sensor (coulometric oxygen or infrared moisture) and transmission rates are calculated from measured concentrations.
Reference Standards- ASTM D3985, ASTM F1307, GB/T 19789, GB/T 31354, DIN 53380-3, JIS K7126-2-B, YBB 00082003-2015
- ASTM F1249, ISO 15106-2, GB/T 26253, JIS K7129, YBB00092003-2015
Test Applications- Films - OTR and WVTR testing of plastic films, paper-plastic composite films, co-extrusion films, aluminized films, aluminum-foil composite films, glass-fiber/aluminum/ paper composite films and other film-like materials.
- Sheets - OTR and WVTR testing of PP sheets, PVC sheets, PVDC sheets, metal foils, rubber sheets, silicon sheets and other flat materials.
