Description

C406H is a combined oxygen and water vapor transmission rate testing system using a coulometric oxygen sensor and a patented infrared moisture sensor to deliver high‑precision OTR and WVTR measurements for films, sheets and related materials.

Testing Principle
  • The pre‑conditioned specimen is clamped between test chambers. Oxygen (or controlled humidity gas) flows on one side while high‑purity nitrogen flows on the other. Molecules diffusing through the specimen are carried by the nitrogen stream to the respective sensor (coulometric oxygen sensor or infrared moisture sensor) and transmission rate is calculated from sensor concentration measurements.
