Description

Product description
EM-400 is a blend of purified paraffin and synthetic polymers designed to enable sectioning with minimal compression. The medium supports routine sectioning at 1–2 microns on a rotary microtome. Its low melting point (56–57º C; recommended water bath 37–42º C) helps reduce artifactual distortion in tissues exposed to temperatures above 60º during paraffin impregnation. EM-400 remains stable at elevated temperatures.

Packaging
Supplied as a case of 10 lightweight bags, each 2 lb (0.91 kg), to facilitate handling.
