Description

High accuracy at low cost. Calibration syringes provide users with an affordable method to verify the volume measurements of spirometers. It is essential to periodically check spirometers against a known volume to ensure their proper calibration. Relying solely on an in-house calibration procedure without a known volume standard is considered poor practice. Each calibration syringe is labeled with the model, serial number, date, and calibrated volume. The calibrated mechanical stop in each syringe ensures an accurate and repeatable volume standard suitable for spirometer calibration. This mechanical stop is calibrated using a volumetric instrument certified to meet the accuracy requirements of the National Bureau of Standards Circular 602. Additionally, every syringe undergoes 100% testing and is traceable to NIST standards. Main advantages Why a 3-liter syringe? LUMED offers a 3-liter size to comply with national and international standards and requirements for spirometry equipment. Accuracy For volume accuracy, calibration checks should be performed at least daily. This involves using a 3-liter syringe discharged at least three times to achieve flow rates ranging from 0.5 to 12 L/s (with injection times of approximately 6 seconds and under 0.5 seconds, respectively). Versatility Compatible adapters allow the syringe to connect to all types of equipment.
