The set of RA-915M with RP-92 attachment is designed to determine the mercury concentration in liquid samples and digested solid samples from the very low sub-ppt level.
The set of RA-915M mercury analyzer with RP-92 attachment implements the conventional Cold Vapor (CV) technique for the analysis of liquid and digested solid samples, following recognized international and national standards. The technique involves acid digestion of the sample and further chemical reduction of ionic mercury to its atomic Hg(0) form. RA-915M analyzer offers a wide working range using either the multipath cell or the single-path cell.
RA-915M analyzer can be also used separately for real-time mercury measurement in ambient and indoor air. Other Lumex Instruments attachments are available to extend RA-915M functionality (PYRO-915+ for thermal decomposition technique, RP-91NG for direct analysis of hydrocarbon gases).
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
Cold vapor (CV) technique followed by atomic absorption spectrometry at 254 nm wavelength with Zeeman correction for background absorption makes interference-free measurements easy and quick. It provides the most selective and sensitive analysis without matrix effects.
