Product overview
The KHS system is designed to provide a self-tapping bone screw that removes the need for pre-drilling in bone densities D2 to D4. The specially shaped head reduces local pressure on soft tissues and lowers the risk of perforation. KHS screws are available in lengths from 5 mm to 15 mm and in diameters 1.35 mm and 1.60 mm. Head height is approximately 0.5 mm; the underside of the head is flat while upper surfaces are rounded to minimize soft-tissue compression. The insertion tool uses a compact square drive connection to further reduce pressure on surrounding soft tissues.

Clinical information
Pre-drilling is not necessary for bone densities D2 to D4; for D1 bone pre-drilling is recommended. The KHS tip features a prismatic design that enables precise placement and effective cutting/drilling. KHS screws allow rapid insertion and are intended for single use. MC Bio applies an eco-conscious approach across its range: most products are reusable and recyclable, except for single-use items such as nails and screws.
