OverviewThe VR First-Aid & Emergency Care Training Simulator is a standalone CPR and first-aid training platform configured by educators using a web-based authoring tool. Build scenarios for adult, paediatric and neonatal patients covering bleeding, choking, airway management and AED use; deploy to standalone headsets or run in-app. The system uses bare-hand tracking (no controllers) and provides real-time feedback on technique and performance metrics.
Web editor & authoringFrom any modern browser educators assemble scenarios step by step: select patient type, environment, clinical complications and session language. Save scenarios as templates, adapt them for different cohorts and push updates directly to headsets without coding.
What you configure- Patient type — adult, paediatric, neonatal
- Setting — home, street, shopping mall, pool
- Clinical complications — bleeding, choking, secretions
- Hazards — e.g. broken glass
- Interventions — AED, rescue breaths
- Built-in quizzes and session language
Protocol / Step-by-step sequence- Clear the scene — remove hazards and secure the area
- Check responsiveness — use hologram cue and assess the casualty
- Call for help — raise arms to attract bystanders; if alone place the emergency call
- Open the airway — follow hologram-guided head tilt
- Check breathing — look, listen and feel for breathing for five seconds
- Expose the chest — open clothing for compressions and AED pad placement
- 30 compressions, 2 breaths — core CPR cycle with hologram-guided hand placement
- Use the AED — apply pads as shown, deliver shock when prompted, resume compressions
Key features- Hand tracking — no controllers; measures compression depth, rate, hand position and technique in real time
- Fully standalone — runs directly on the VR headset; no PC, no special mannequin, no calibration required
- Mannequin integration — works alongside physical CPR mannequins or as a standalone exercise
- Multi-language sessions — instruction, feedback and debrief in the chosen language
- Automated real-time feedback and a complete performance record at session end
Session modes- Single user — one student per headset for individual practice, automated feedback and assessment
- Classroom projection — instructor projects the headset view for group teaching, discussion and debrief
How a session runs- 01 Assess — survey the scene, check responsiveness and call for help
- 02 Act — hands-on CPR: compressions and airway management with live feedback
- 03 Decide — attach and operate the AED following prompts; practise shock decision-making
- 04 Debrief — review recorded actions, timings and protocol adherence
Scenarios & variants- Street — outdoor emergency with passers-by and open-space dynamics
- Shopping mall — enclosed public space with bystanders and complex layouts
- Alone — no bystanders; single-rescuer sequence with emergency call procedure
- Bystander involvement — scenarios where a bystander places AED pads or takes over compressions
What it covers- CPR & Basic Life Support — scene assessment, call for help, chest compressions, AED use, airway management; single and two-rescuer protocols; real-time feedback on depth, rate and hand position
- First aid scenarios — trauma assessment (ABCDE), bleeding control, fracture management, burns, anaphylaxis, choking
- Mass-casualty simulation — large-scale rescue with triage (START), prioritisation and resource-limited decision-making
