Description

Overview
The moorO2Flo-2 perfusion and oxygenation imager simultaneously images tissue perfusion (blood flow) and relative changes in tissue oxyhaemoglobin (oxyHb) and deoxyhaemoglobin (deoxyHb) concentrations. The system combines laser speckle contrast perfusion imaging with reflectance spectroscopy for synchronized oxygenation-change imaging. It provides non-contact imaging of exposed tissue (skin or surgically exposed tissues) and captures blood flow and oxygenation video sequences for research and educational life-science applications.

Key features
  • Non-contact imaging of exposed tissues
  • Simultaneous perfusion and relative oxyHb/deoxyHb concentration-change imaging
  • Perfusion-only mode: up to 100 frames per second
  • Combined perfusion + oxygen mode: up to 20 frames per second; each frame includes 1 perfusion image, 1 oxyHb image, 1 deoxyHb image and 1 colour photograph
  • Best spatial resolution 3.9 μm per pixel to reveal fine morphology
  • Motorised 10× optical zoom with autofocus; imaging areas ~8 mm × 6 mm to ~300 mm × 225 mm
  • Single-camera system providing five parameters (perfusion, oxyHb change, deoxyHb change, colour photo/video, etc.)
  • Multiple ROIs can be added and measured in real time and post‑acquisition; ROI area computed automatically
  • Colour photograph precisely co-registered with perfusion and oxygen images for anatomical reference

Intended use & limitation
The moorO2Flo-2 is intended for real-time imaging of tissue perfusion and/or relative oxyhaemoglobin and deoxyhaemoglobin concentration change for research and educational life-science applications only. It is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, prediction, prognosis, treatment or alleviation of disease, nor for investigation, replacement or modification of anatomy or physiological/pathological processes.

Safety & warning
The moorO2Flo-2 emits flashing light which may potentially trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Do not use the system in the presence of individuals with photosensitive epilepsy. Laser classification: Class 1 (EN 60825-1:2014+A11:2021).

Additional information
Available operation modes: continuous operation; perfusion-only high frame-rate mode; combined perfusion + oxygen imaging mode. Colour video/photo is captured alongside perfusion and haemoglobin-change images for anatomical reference.
