Varisation staples are stainless steel implants that provide effective support for Akin-type osteotomies.
Staples are self-penetrating, they are simply impacted into bone using a mallet.

Epiphyseal phalangeal osteotomy: 26° angled staples
Diaphyseal phalageal osteotomy: 90° straight staples
