Medical Aluminum Cylinders are 40% lighter than conventional steel cylinders and pound for pound stronger and more crush resistant, aluminum cylinders reduce the strain on EMS and rescue personnel. Straight threads and O-Ring seals reduce thread damage (a major problem in taper threaded steel cylinder valves) and also provide a superior gas seal. Available for Oxygen, Air and Entonox® gases, these lightweight cylinders also hold up to 15% more gas than their steel equivalent. (All cylinders come fitted with the gas specific Pin – Indexed or CGA threaded connection) Features Lightweight Aluminum construction. Long Service Life. Specifications Surface Finish: Standard finish is brushed body with gas specific color polyurethane shoulder and clear coat of heat sensitive polyurethane. Material: The Aluminum cylinder is produced from high strength aluminum alloy 6061-T6. Regulation & Inspection: All seamless aluminum alloy compressed gas cylinders are manufactured in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) 3AL and Transport Canada (TC) 3ALM requirements. Every cylinder is inspected and tested by a DOT and TC authorized independent inspection agency.
