Short description
Diff Stain Quick by Pro-Eko Srl is a rapid Romanowsky staining kit for blood smears and cytological samples. Supplied as 3 ready-to-use solutions (2×250 ml each) for a total of 6×250 ml bottles. IVD medical-diagnostic device for human use. Staining time: 2–3 minutes. Supplied with SDS.

Kit composition and features

• Reagent 1 – Fixative Solution (2×250 ml): 100% anhydrous methanol — fixes blood cells on the slide.
• Reagent 2 – Blue Solution (2×250 ml): Azure A/B in phosphate buffer pH 6.6 — basophilic stain for nuclei and basic granules; leukocyte nuclei blue-violet.
• Reagent 3 – Red Solution (2×250 ml): Eosin Y in phosphate buffer pH 6.6 — eosinophilic stain for cytoplasm and acidic granules; erythrocytes pink-orange.

Intended use
Rapid staining of peripheral blood smears and selected cytological specimens for fast morphological evaluation and leukocyte differential count in clinical laboratories, medical practices and veterinary settings. Morphology comparable to May-Grünwald–Giemsa (MGG) with reduced processing time.

Procedure

• Prepare a blood smear on a glass slide and air-dry.
• Immerse in Fixative (reagent 1) for 30–60 seconds, remove and drain.
• Immerse in Blue Solution (reagent 2) for 45–60 seconds, remove.
• Immerse in Red Solution (reagent 3) for 45–60 seconds.
• Rinse gently with distilled water and dry with absorbent paper.
• Examine under microscope (10×, 40× and 100× oil immersion).
