Overview
The Jaw Crusher BB 250 is designed to accept large feed sizes up to 120 x 90 mm. The gap width is infinitely adjustable from 0 to 30 mm, enabling final particle sizes down to < 2 mm depending on material and settings. Throughput can reach up to 300 kg/h. The BB 250 is built for simple handling, easy cleaning and continuous or batchwise operation. A front door provides direct access to the crushing chamber at ergonomic height. The removable feed hopper with splash-back protection, dust-extraction connection and mechanical overload protection facilitate safe, dust-minimized operation. A scale indicates jaw wear for maintenance planning.

Combi Unit (Two-stage sample preparation)
The BB 250 can be combined with the Disc Mill DM 200 via a cyclone separator to enable automated continuous sample preparation. Material is transported directly from the jaw crusher to the disc mill, allowing large feed sizes to be reduced in one continuous process to a defined final fineness. This two-step setup is ideal for hard or brittle materials requiring coarse reduction followed by fine grinding.

Functional Principle
The BB 250 is a forced-feed jaw crusher. Material passes through a no-rebound hopper into the crushing chamber. Size reduction occurs between the fixed crushing jaw and the moving jaw driven by an eccentric shaft. The elliptical motion compresses and crushes the sample which moves towards the discharge gap under gravity; when smaller than the gap it falls into a removable collector. Continuous gap width setting with scale ensures reproducible size reduction.
