Product Overview The BB 200 jaw crusher from RETSCH is a floor-mounted forced-feed crusher designed for preliminary and continuous crushing tasks. It accepts feed sizes up to 90 mm and delivers throughput up to 300 kg/h. The gap width is continuously adjustable from 0 to 30 mm, enabling particle sizes down to 2 mm depending on material and settings. The crusher processes small samples batchwise or larger quantities continuously and discharges material into a removable collector.

Heavy-metal-free & Special Versions RETSCH offers heavy-metal-free configurations. A special version for semiconductor materials includes plastic lining of the feed hopper and receptacle and uses tungsten carbide jaws and wear plates so the sample does not contact metal surfaces.

Continuous Pre- and Fine Grinding For rapid continuous comminution to analytical fineness, the BB 200 can be mounted above the RETSCH Disc Mill DM 200 and connected by a chute. This process grinds samples up to 90 mm feed size down to much finer sizes in a single pass.

Functional Principle Material is fed through a no-rebound hopper into the crushing chamber where size reduction occurs between a fixed and a moving crushing arm driven by an eccentric shaft. The elliptical motion and flywheel effect ensure smooth operation. A Belleville spring washer in the spindle adjustment provides overload protection. Sliding bearings are maintenance- and lubricant-free.
