The aim of SOMNOmedics is to implement and utilize the latest technologies and develop new examination methods in order to provide innovative devices with enhanced informative value, high quality and ease of use for clinical routine and research. The new NARCOguide combines anaesthesia depth determination with the patented method of continuous, non-invasive blood pressure measurement. This makes it the only EEG-based depth of anaesthesia monitor on the market that can continuously measure the haemodynamic effects of general anaesthesia in addition to the central effects. The NARCOguide is a small and compact stand-alone device that has been designed specially for ambulatory settings. It can be easily installed in the operating room using a bracket. The device is operated via the integrated touch display. All data is shown clearly at a glance on the display: depth of anesthesia and blood pressure curves for progress control, the current depth of anesthesia values, automatic detection of burst suppression, oxygen saturation, heart rate and blood pressure, as well as the raw EEG and ECG data. Patients benefit from the use of the device through an adjusted dosage based on the depth of anaesthesia, which reduces post-operative complications and lowers the risk of awareness. Anaesthetists particularly appreciate the ease of use and the clear display of all relevant parameters including the continuous blood pressure measurement.
