Bookwalter Retractor is a self-retaining surgical retraction system designed for maintaining stable and adjustable exposure of the operative field during open surgical procedures.
The system features a circular ring frame with multiple independently adjustable retractor blades. The blades can be positioned at different points around the ring to provide multidirectional tissue retraction according to the required surgical exposure.
Its table-mounted configuration provides stable support while allowing the surgeon to adjust individual blades and their positions throughout the procedure. Different blade shapes and sizes can be used according to the surgical application.
