Description

Overview
  • Cryo Local Polar Bear is a device for localized cryo stimulation used for targeted treatments on particular body parts. Ideal for rehabilitation, sports medicine, beauty and skin care. Spot cryotherapy treats problematic areas by blowing nitrogen vapor with temperatures down to -160°C (-256°F) for pain relief, inflammation reduction, post-surgery recovery and rehabilitation.

Treatment
  • Local cryotherapy involves exposure to extreme low temperatures (approximately -160°C (-256°F)) to a specific area of the body or face using a mixture of liquid nitrogen vapors and cooled air applied in circular movements.
  • Treatment durations vary from several dozen seconds up to 30 minutes depending on application and area.

Applications & Indications
  • Rehabilitation and physiotherapy: treatment of joints and muscles, injuries of joints and soft tissues (sprains, dislocations), periarticular inflammation, degenerative spine disease, discopathies, tendon diseases, torn muscles and ligaments.
  • Sports medicine: injury healing, preparation and regeneration, analgesic, anti-swelling and anti-inflammatory effects.
  • Plastic surgery and cosmetics: reduction of postoperative edema, acceleration of skin healing after procedures (e.g. liposuction), cellulite and anti-aging procedures, reduction of wrinkles, improved skin absorption of cosmetic preparations.

Recommended treatment areas / predefined programs
  • Available predefined localized cryotherapy programs for: neck, lower back, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, belly and face areas.
  • 23 predefined programs grouped into categories such as face, body, upper and lower body (includes shoulders, back, chest, bottom, belly, thighs, hand, elbow, neck, wrist, biceps/triceps, hip, calf, ankle, knee, foot).
  • Manual program option to customize values for specific patient needs.

Key features
  • Low temperature capability: up to -160°C (-256°F).
  • 10.1-inch high-quality color touch display with intuitive interface to navigate options and menus.
  • Remote control integrated in the handle: quick control of treatment, plus/minus flow force buttons, LED indicators showing 4 levels of outgoing cooling flow and pause/start functions on the remote.
  • Skin surface temperature sensor placed in the blow-in nozzle to measure and monitor skin temperature during treatment; light signals warn about excessive cooling and possible frostbite risk.
  • Lasers in the handle to indicate optimal distance between nozzle and skin surface (crossed beams forming a dot to show ideal distance).
  • 50 L removable liquid nitrogen tank with filling-level sensor; system notifies operator when tank is empty on the main screen.
  • Hose length: 2 m.

Recommended locations
  • Clinics, hospitals, medical centers, physiotherapy and rehabilitation surgeries, wellness & SPA centers, hotel gyms and similar facilities.

Effects and results
  • Pain reduction and reduced inflammation at treated sites.
  • Limitation of circulation in the treated area with subsequent rapid vasodilation and improved microcirculation; metabolic surge can continue for hours after procedure.
  • Reduced muscle tension, internal analgesic response, improved blood supply and oxygen absorption in tissues.
  • Skin benefits: inhibition of inflammation, firmer and more elastic skin, smoothing of wrinkles, improved facial contour, faster skin regeneration and reduction of edema.

Safety and usability
  • Integrated sensors and laser guidance increase treatment safety by controlling skin temperature and optimal nozzle distance.
  • Operator-focused design: remote controller on handle, visual LED feedback and touchscreen interface for program selection and monitoring.
