Description

Overview
The PPG-2TF-660 2.0 Transmittance SpO2 module is a laboratory-grade signal generator designed for evaluation, validation and production testing of transmittance pulse oximeters when paired with the AECG100 main unit or the SECG 5.0 AIO Multi Vital Sign Simulator. It reproduces low-perfusion conditions down to a Perfusion Index (PI) of 0.01% and supports diverse skin-tone optical scenarios and high heart rates to enable repeatable SpO2 verification. The module allows establishment of device-specific SpO2 R curves and fine adjustment of waveform parameters for precise, repeatable algorithm verification.

Functions
  • Basic waveform output: PPG waveform, sine, triangle and square outputs with coarse and fine adjustments; DC offset testing supported.
  • PPG signal generation: Simultaneous red and infrared analog signals with adjustable characteristic points including Systolic Peak (SP), Dicrotic Notch (DN) and Diastolic Peak (DP).
  • Adjustable PWTT (Pulse Wave Transit Time): Synchronized ECG and PPG output with adjustable PTT timing differences (PTTp and PTTf) for algorithm validation.
  • Blood oxygen R-curve simulation: Create device-specific R curves to validate SpO2 and PI specifications; automatic calculation of red/IR DC references and custom R-curve generation.
  • Saving test parameters: Store parameters across test items for integrated, repeatable testing and reduced human error.
  • Raw data playback: Playback of raw waveform data and reproduction of clinically recorded or custom waveforms.
  • Simple automated test: Support for software-controlled automated testing and manual editing of auto-sequences for sequence tests.

  • Data collection method note: Use a spectrometer with a 2-inch integrating sphere fixed on the DUT to measure LED absolute irradiance; when paired with AECG100 supports Normal / Standalone / Raw data modes; when paired with SECG 5.0 AIO only Raw data mode applies.
