Overview
SimpleSlideInterface DX (Integration) is a high-level image access interface designed to enhance openness and interoperability of Pannoramic Solutions. It enables third-party developers and integrators to connect applications to SlideStorage DX and CaseManager DX for efficient, controlled access to slide image data while protecting sensitive patient information. Deployable as a microservice on a local machine or hosted on a dedicated server, it serves clients using slides from shared network folders or SlideStorage DX, offering flexible deployment for diverse technical environments.

Installation & License Options
  • Installation via the SimpleSlideStorage DX Installer.

  • SlideStorage DX read/write access: read and write access to SlideStorage DX (license required).
  • Original Field of View access: specific license required to access original, uncompensated camera FOV data.

  • Operating System (minimum): Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64-bit or Microsoft Windows Server 2019 64-bit.
  • Disk space: 1.0 GB.
  • Per-slide CPU usage: ~8 slides per CPU thread; CPU load increases with concurrent clients/threads (e.g., image encoding/decoding).
  • Per-slide RAM usage: ~100 MB per opened slide; memory grows with caching of image and attribute data.


Network Bandwidth
  • Minimum: 1 Gb/s.
  • Recommended: 10 Gb/s.
  • High bandwidth is essential for fast performance when slides are stored on SlideStorage DX or when SimpleSlideInterface is hosted on a separate machine.
