Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is the most potent natural water-soluble antioxidant commonly used to measure total antioxidant capacity (TAC). It is present in biological samples, such as plasma, and in food samples as a natural component of fruits and vegetables or as an additive.
Use this standard to compare BRS device results (µC or BRS Value) with the classical antioxidant capacity units of Vitamin C Antioxidant Capacity Equivalents (CEAC).
AGRI-FOOD SAMPLES: 3 vials of standard + BRS Electrolyte.
BIOMEDICAL SAMPLES: 3 vials of standard. It is recommended to use PB or PBS for calibration curves.
