OverviewHuman Placenta DNA is supplied as a liquid extract, purified exclusively from human placental tissue of a male newborn. The material is treated with Proteinase K followed by phenol extraction and precipitation. The DNA exhibits high molecular weight with fragment size > 10 kb and is tested negative for HIV, HCV and HPV. This preparation is suitable as a blocker of human repetitive sequences and for hybridization-based applications. BIORON also offers COT I Human DNA (enriched small repetitive sequences of placenta DNA).
