Product overview
Heart® is a biological membrane derived from authentic equine pericardium. Processed with Bioteck’s exclusive enzymatic decellularisation and biocompatibilisation method, the membrane preserves its natural three-dimensional collagen matrix. The result is a thin, hydrophilic barrier membrane with high tensile strength, identical surfaces on both sides and ease of fixation with sutures or osteosynthesis devices. Heart® acts as a protective substrate for bone grafts and supports tissue regeneration for approximately 3–4 months.

Microscopic evidence
Scanning electron microscopy shows a multi-layer internal matrix and a dense collagen fibre network on both surfaces, compatible with cellular colonisation and tissue integration.

When to use
Indicated for guided bone/tissue regeneration (GBR/GTR), usable in immediate or two-stage protocols and for a wide range of bone defects, including complex cases. Can be used alone or combined with grafting materials.
