Description

Osteoplant Bio-gen Biocollagen Safetybiocompatibility Osteoconduction Complete remodeling Bioteck® bone substitutes feature a wholly preserved extracellular matrix and are therefore subject to total remodeling process in physiological time frames. The collagen component – intact and unmodified – makes it possible to preserve the typical load resistance of natural bone. What is more, in its native structure bone collagen has all its distinctive effects – including acting as co-activator of endogenous growth factors and as substrate for cellular adhesion of osteoblasts – thus creating a favorable physiological environment to promote bone regeneration. The presence of bone collagen in Bioteck® grafts is also visible under polarized light: collagen fibers, having a regular structure, feature the characteristic refraction that makes them look lighter.
