CMRL 1066 is a powdered cell culture medium formulated for cultivation of mouse L‑strain cells without a protein supplement. Although originally designed for serum‑free use, it also supports growth of various cell lines in the presence of serum. The formulation contains L-Glutamine and phenol red and does not include sodium bicarbonate. Glucose concentration: 1 g/L.

Formulation & composition
Powder formulation without sodium bicarbonate. Contains L-Glutamine and phenol red. Glucose concentration: 1 g/L. Includes calcium and magnesium. NEAA present.

Supplementation with sodium bicarbonate
To supplement with sodium bicarbonate:

• Addition of sodium bicarbonate 7.5% solution (ref: L0680): 29.3 ml per L
• Addition of sodium bicarbonate powder (ref: P2060): 2.2 g per L
