Description
CK5/6 is a type of cytokeratin with molecular weights of 58KD and 56KD. It is mainly found in the basal cells of the squamous epithelium, and almost not expressed in the glandular epithelium.
Clinical Application
For differential diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell papilloma, and transitional cell carcinoma,etc.
For diagnosis and differential diagnosis of mesothelial cell tumor and adenocarcinoma
