OverviewDMS Imaging STRATOS Series is a family of DXA (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) devices for clinical bone densitometry and body composition analysis. Designed and manufactured in France, the series offers configurations for small footprint rooms and advanced clinical environments, combining low-dose imaging, fast acquisition options and integrated software to streamline clinical workflow.
Clinical applications- Imaging centers and radiology departments
- Rheumatology clinics
- Gynecology and women’s health screening
- Endocrinology
- Geriatrics
- Bariatric medicine and nutrition
- Sports medicine and rehabilitation
- Fitness and wellness centers
- Pediatrics
- Orthopedics
Models and key featuresSTRATOS- Cost-effective DXA system for routine bone health assessment
- Fast pencil-beam option for reliable BMD measurement
- Low X-ray dose for patient and operator safety
- Compact configuration available for small exam rooms
STRATOS DR- High-end DXA system for advanced clinical assessment
- 2D fan-beam technology with high image throughput
- Powerful detector with 256 elements for enhanced image quality
- High-speed scanning for efficient patient throughput
- Maintains low X-ray dose despite high performance
Body composition analysisThe STRATOS Series provides whole-body and regional composition analysis with a large scan field. Key outputs include:
- Fat and lean tissue color maps and regional segmentation
- Android/Gynoid ratios for fat distribution analysis
- Visceral Adipose Tissue (VAT) estimation and metabolic indicators
- Sarcopenia assessment metrics and lean mass indices
Osteoporosis & fracture risk assessmentThe platform delivers clinical tools for osteoporosis management and fracture risk, including:
- Bone Mineral Density (BMD) measurements with T-score and Z-score
- Hip Structural Analysis (HSA) for geometric evaluation
- FRAX integration for 10-year fracture probability assessment
- Digital Vertebral Assessment (DVA) for vertebral fracture screening
- 3D-DXA reconstructions for compartmental cortical and trabecular analysis
In-house intuitive software & connectivitySTRATOS software is designed for clinical workflow efficiency. Core functionalities include:
- DICOM compatibility for secure PACS integration
- Fast acquisition, automatic analysis and streamlined reporting
- Customizable automatic reports and patient/physician letters
- Longitudinal patient tracking with trend graphs and comparative analytics
- Multi-user access and role-based workstations
Innovative 3D-DXA technology3D-DXA converts routine 2D DXA scans into validated 3D reconstructions of the femur to evaluate cortical and trabecular compartments separately, improving insight into bone microstructure and aiding treatment decisions. The method is validated against QCT reference standards.
Certifications & regulatory informationSTRATOS and STRATOS DR are Class IIb medical devices manufactured by APELEM and bear the CE marking. They are certified in the European Union under Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC by SGS CE1639 for bone densitometry indications. Non-medical uses are outside the certification scope. Users must consult the instructions for use. Photos are non-contractual.
