Description

Overview
The Elektro-mag M 2815 P swing-out laboratory centrifuge is a swing-out rotor model designed for high-efficiency separations. Swing-out centrifuges provide higher effective centrifugal force and improved separation performance at comparable speeds versus fixed-angle rotors. This model accepts samples in tubes of different volumes via interchangeable tube carriers and has a nominal capacity of 28 x 15 ml; optional carriers allow 4 x 50 ml or 4 x 100 ml tubes.

Control and Programs
The M 2815 P is equipped with a 4.3" touchscreen wide-angle display and PID control for precise speed regulation. It offers 10 programmable memory slots. Speed can be set from 500 to 5000 rpm and the maximum relative centrifugal force reaches 4480 x g. Built-in program/menu options include start time, interval time, short-run (pulse) mode, acceleration profile and deceleration time to support controlled processes and reproducible results.

Safety and Construction
The unit features a lid lock that prevents opening during operation. The outer casing is C-steel with electrostatic powder coating and ABS parts; the inner chamber is stainless steel. The rotor is steel and the drive is a maintenance-free brushless motor, ensuring durable construction and low maintenance.

Applications
Laboratory centrifuges like the M 2815 P are used in academic, clinical and research laboratories to separate components by density (for example: blood, cells, organelles, viruses, proteins, nucleic acids). Typical workflows include sample preparation, purification and analytical protocols in biology and chemistry.
