Description

Overview
VET-TECH CRHi-Res — computed radiography (CR) system using reusable phosphor plates housed in cassettes for indirect digital radiography.

How it works
The latent X-ray image is captured on phosphor imaging plates inserted into cassettes. Plates are read by a dedicated CR scanner that digitizes the image and forwards it to the VET-TECH acquisition software. After reading, plates are erased and prepared for reuse.

Key benefits
  • Replaces chemical film processing workflows
  • Reduces handling and exposure to darkroom chemicals
  • Eliminates constraints associated with wet labs and darkrooms

Comparison / complementarity (product context)
The VET-TECH CRHi-Res system provides an indirect digital radiography option based on phosphor plates and a plate scanner. It is distinct from the VET-TECH DR4343 solution, which uses a flat-panel detector for direct digital radiography (DR); the two systems can be selected based on clinic workflow, budget and image acquisition needs.

Technical characteristics / specifications
  • Technology type: Indirect digital radiography (Computed Radiography, CR)
  • Image medium: Reusable phosphor imaging plates in cassettes
  • Workflow: Plates scanned by dedicated CR reader, images transmitted to acquisition software, plates erased for reuse
  • Software integration: Images transferred to VET-TECH acquisition software for visualization and processing
  • Primary purpose: Replace chemical film development and digitize radiographic images
