OverviewVET-TECH CRHi-Res — computed radiography (CR) system using reusable phosphor plates housed in cassettes for indirect digital radiography.
How it worksThe latent X-ray image is captured on phosphor imaging plates inserted into cassettes. Plates are read by a dedicated CR scanner that digitizes the image and forwards it to the VET-TECH acquisition software. After reading, plates are erased and prepared for reuse.
Key benefits- Replaces chemical film processing workflows
- Reduces handling and exposure to darkroom chemicals
- Eliminates constraints associated with wet labs and darkrooms
Comparison / complementarity (product context)The VET-TECH CRHi-Res system provides an indirect digital radiography option based on phosphor plates and a plate scanner. It is distinct from the VET-TECH DR4343 solution, which uses a flat-panel detector for direct digital radiography (DR); the two systems can be selected based on clinic workflow, budget and image acquisition needs.
