Description

Description
Plasmed is a portable plasma-jet device designed for aesthetic and medical applications. Its sensorial, anatomical design and compact dimensions facilitate professional handling and transport for in-clinic and homecare procedures. Manufactured by Ibramed with a direct-current (DC) plasma generator, the device provides a stable plasma discharge and supports both superficial and deeper interventions.

Key features
  • Direct-current (DC) plasma generator for a more stable plasma discharge.
  • Two operating modes: continuous and pulsed (configurable ON/OFF times).
  • Internal 2,600 mAh battery with Monitored Battery system for cordless operation and battery status alerts.
  • Exclusive application spacers to control natural hand tremors and increase application precision.
  • Compact, anatomical design to improve therapeutic comfort for the operator and facilitate transport.

Applicators and tips
Plasmed is supplied with multiple stainless-steel applicators (various kits may include up to 9 options): needle tips, small and large discs, contact tips (P, M, G), straight and curved tips, conical tips and specific tips for fulguration and contact techniques. Each tip is designed for specific indications and tissue interaction.

Application techniques
  • Dynamic contact technique — promotes local microcirculation (mild hyperemia expected).
  • Point fulguration — localized cauterization producing a small dark crust at the treated point.
  • Sweep fulguration — denaturation of target tissue with areas of whitish appearance.
  • Plasma peeling — controlled superficial renewal technique.

Indications
  • Aesthetic: facial rejuvenation, improvement of microcirculation, skin laxity, stretch marks.
  • Medical-aesthetic/dermatology: localized hyperpigmentation, palpebral laxity, removal of small benign lesions (when indicated), atrophic scars, wrinkles and expression lines.

Accessories / kit contents
  • Power supply 5.2 VDC 2 A (auto-bivolt 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz).
  • Power cable (specific connector).
  • Self-adhesive dispersive electrode 5.0 x 9.0 cm.
  • Set of stainless-steel tips/applicators (various shapes depending on kit).
  • Tube of gel (approx. 100 g).
  • Ibramed portable carry case for transport and storage.
  • Digital operations manual and technical documentation.

Clinical and operational benefits
  • Lower inflammatory response and reduced post-procedure edema.
  • Reduced risk of hyperpigmentation compared with less-stable discharges.
  • Less discomfort during application.
  • Ability to treat both superficial and deeper lesions depending on technique and tip used.
  • More stable plasma discharge due to DC generator.

Contraindications and safety
  • Do not use on patients with vitiligo in the treatment area.
  • Contraindicated in patients with epilepsy or uncontrolled diabetes.
  • Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation.
  • Do not apply on open wounds or areas with active skin infection.
  • Not indicated for patients with tendency to keloids or with metallic implants/pacemakers in the treatment area.
  • Avoid use in patients who have taken oral isotretinoin within the last 6 months.
  • Do not apply directly over the eyeball or cardiac region.
  • Use dispersive electrode where required and wear appropriate gloves during application. The Monitored Battery system alerts for battery problems or low charge.

Technical specifications
  • Dimensions: Width 39 mm ±5%; Depth 219 mm ±5%; Height 34 mm ±5%.
  • Net weight: approx. 0.160 kg ±5%.
  • Battery: internal 2,600 mAh with monitoring system.
  • Plasma arc voltage: up to 5,000 V (maximum arc discharge voltage).
  • Power supply: auto-bivolt 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz — adapter 5.2 VDC 2 A.
  • Insulation class: Class II.
  • Applied part: Type BF.
  • Operating temperature range: 5–35 °C.
  • Applicators: multiple stainless-steel tips (kit dependent).
  • Operating modes: continuous and pulsed (user-configurable).
