Overview
The C203H Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) test system is a Coulometric-sensor based, equal-pressure OTR tester compliant with ASTM D3985. It is engineered for high-precision OTR measurement of films, sheets and other barrier materials used in food, pharmaceutical, medical device, chemical, photovoltaic and electronics industries. The instrument supports medium-to-high barrier materials and multi-sample throughput with automated operation.

Testing Principle
  • The sample is clamped between two chambers; oxygen/air flows on one side and high-purity nitrogen on the other. Oxygen diffuses through the sample into the nitrogen stream and is carried to the coulometric sensor. The sensor measures oxygen concentration and the system calculates OTR from that data.
