Product description Sub-X is a xylene substitute based on an aliphatic hydrocarbon. It is essentially odorless and nongreasy and can be used in place of xylene for tissue processing, deparaffinization, clearing and cleanup. Sub-X is a gentle clearing agent that will not over-harden tissue specimens. The selective solvent is safe to use with most plastics and tubing in open and closed tissue processors. A compatible mountant such as Sub-X Mounting Medium must be used for coverslipping.
