Description

Product description
Clearene is a selected blend of terpenes formulated to replace xylene and toluene in histology and cytology laboratory procedures. It is less oily than other solvent substitutes, dries quickly and leaves no residue. Clearene penetrates tissue rapidly without overhardening and is compatible with open and closed-system tissue processors. It is miscible with alcohols, paraffins and mounting media and contains an antioxidant to prevent stain fading. Clearene is biodegradable and provides the solvent properties required in laboratory workflows without the drawbacks of aromatic hydrocarbons such as xylene or toluene-based products.
