Decalcifier I is a decalcifying solution designed to simultaneously fix and decalcify tissue samples. Needle biopsies can be fully fixed and decalcified in ≤ 1 hour; small bone samples and calcified arteries typically process in 2–4 hours. Treated tissues are easy to section and produce high-quality H&E staining when processed by routine laboratory protocols.
